Special Event Notice #1

The London Amateur Radio Club will be operating a special event and call for

National EMS Week (VB3EMS).

May 15 to May 21, 2022

Bands 80-10M -  SSB, CW and Digital.

A note from the event coordinator: Dave Lambert - VE3KGK

I am looking for operators to fill two-hour time slots during those dates. The operation will mostly be 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. but for the night owls who wish to operate overnight, that is acceptable but I would like to schedule such operators so we know who might be using the call at night..

I will close the window for applications at midnight local time on May 12th. What that means is that those who apply after that time will still be able to be on the schedule, but they may not get the time slots they wish, although time slots will be available on a first come first served basis.

The early bird catches the worm and the early worm gets eaten.
It would help me with scheduling to get some names before May 3rd.
I need band preference, mode preference, time preference, day prfeerence as soon as possible.

Some useful links:

www.raspberrypi.org is the main source for all things Pi. If it's happening, it's here.

Some vendors that were mentioned in the last meeting:

  • Adafruit.com is a supermarket for electronics and they carry Pis and accessories of all stripes. There is also a Canadian disributor of AdaFruit products that is found on the Web. We'll have to see if any of the group have used them.
  • Canakit.com iis a Candian distributor out of B.C..
  • ThePiHut.com is a British company that sells all things Pi.
  • BuyAPi.ca is another Canadian disributor.

Note: LARC does not endorse any vendor. Do your research and shop responsibly.
